About Us & Services

Are you privately owned or part of a corporate chain?
We are 100% privately owned. We have ZERO corporate involvement 🙂
What types of pets do you treat?

Dogs and cats

What services do you offer?
We provide comprehensive care including wellness exams, vaccinations, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, digital x-rays, ultrasonography and more.
Do you offer house calls or mobile vet services?
YES! Depending on the service ,. your location and your pet’s needs. These visits are ideal for pets who get anxious traveling or for families who prefer in-home care. Availability is limited, so please contact us to see if your pet’s needs are a good fit for a house call.

Appointments & Visits

How do I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment online on our website. You can also call us (704) 512-0688 or send us an e-mail (eastsideahclt@gmail.com)

What should I bring to my pet’s first visit?
Please bring your pets previous medical records. Sending your pet’s records a few hours (or even a days!) before your appointment allows our doctor to review their history in advance. This extra time means we can walk into the exam room already familiar with your pet’s health story, past treatments, and any ongoing concerns. It helps us focus more on your pet during the visit, ask better questions, and create a personalized plan that fits their needs. You can email records directly to eastsideahclt@gmail.com or have your previous veterinarian send them on your behalf.

If your pet is coming for a wellness or annual visit, please try to bring a sample of their stool (in a grocery bag is fine!).

If your pet is coming in for a urinary related visit, catching a sample in a clean plastic container can be helpful. Please put the sample into the fridge if you are not coming over right away.

How long is a typical appointment?
We schedule appointments for at least 30 minutes to ensure we have plenty of time to get to answer your questions, and provide thorough care. Some visits—such as new patient exams, multiple concerns, or more complex cases—may take longer so we can give your pet the attention they deserve without feeling rushed. Our goal is to make every appointment calm, comfortable, and unhurried.

Payments & Policies

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, debit, all major credit cards and Care Credit. Payment is due at the time of service.
Do you offer payment plans or financing?
Yes—we accept CareCredit, which allows you to spread out the cost of care over time. Our team can help you apply if you don’t already have an account.
Do you accept pet insurance?
We work with all pet insurance providers. Payment is made at the time of service, and we’ll provide you with a detailed invoice and exam notes so you can submit your claim for reimbursement.

Pet Care & Preventive Medicine

How often should my pet come in for a wellness exam?
Most healthy adult pets should be seen once a year. Puppies, kittens, seniors, and pets with medical conditions may need more frequent visits.

Extra Comforts & Special Touches

How do you make visits less stressful for pets?
We take a low-stress, gentle-handling approach, giving pets time to settle in and offering plenty of treats and encouragement. We also use calming pheromones and quiet spaces to help pets feel more at ease. If needed, we prescribe pre-visit medications that can help calm your pet to make the experience less stressful for them.
What makes your hospital different from others in the area?
We’re a boutique, privately owned practice that values relationships over rushing. Our appointments are longer, our approach is personal, and our focus is always on what’s best for your pet—not on meeting a corporate quota.
